Call for Presentations: IFME 2026 World Congress

Federation of the International Municipal Engineering and local organizers of the International Conference invite municipal engineers, architects, public works professionals, infrastructure experts, researchers, industry leaders and service providers to submit presentation proposals for the IFME 2026 World Congress, taking place in Helsinki, Finland, on June 9-11, 2026. This unique and triennial global event serves as a platform for exchanging knowledge, discussing innovations, and addressing the challenges shaping the future of urban and municipal engineering.

Under the theme Future Livable Cities, the Congress will explore strategies for shaping sustainable, resilient, and smart urban environments over the Globe. Participants will have the opportunity to share groundbreaking insights, connect with global industry leaders, and contribute to the future of municipal engineering worldwide. We are excited to welcome more than 700 industry professionals to our conference.

We accept only onsite presentations. The speakers whose presentation gets accepted should travel to Helsinki, Finland for the presentation.
 

 

IMPORTANT DATES

  • Submit your presentation proposal by October 30, 2025
  • Notifications will be sent to corresponding authors in December, 2025
  • Speaker registration deadline is January 10, 2026 
  • Final Proposal Text Upload Deadline is February 1, 2026
  • Slide Deck Submission for Participants is May 31, 2026
  • Conference Dates: June 9-11, 2026

 

SPEAKER REGISTRATION

If your presentation is accepted, speakers must complete their registration by January 10 2026.

Speaker Ticket is 349 EUR including VAT 25,5 % (278,09 EUR + VAT)

 

SHARING MATERIALS

Accepted presenters will be required to submit a shareable version of their presentation materials to be hosted on the event website. A separate version may be used during the conference in case of confidentiality or copyright concerns.

 

INSTRUCTIONS

Title: Provide a clear and concise title for your submission.

Proposal Text: Your submission should be a maximum of 500 words and include the following elements:

Content: A description of the main topic, objectives, and relevance to the conference theme.

Methodology: Explain the approach taken, such as conceptual framework, case studies, prototype development, or implementation strategies.

Results and Conclusions: Outline the key findings, potential impact, and applications of your work.

Authors: List all authors involved in the work. You may designate one or more presenting authors who will take the stage at IFME 2026. Please provide a photo of the authors for speaker cards
